Tacticianor is a Kentucky bred grey roan gelding born May 3rd, 2004 (Tactical Cat – Concolour, by Our Native) Tac made 44 starts and won three, with four seconds and three thirds, earning $15,916 in his five year racing career. Tac raced until the age of 6 in 2010, in his final claiming race.

Tac was rescued from an Ohio auction house for $75 which is where his journey to Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue begins.

Stud Muffin is a 2004 Grey Gelding (Raffie's Majesty - Saratoga Princess, by Seattle Dancer)
With 59 starts and 14 firsts, his last race was in the fall of 2012, he earned $671,865 in his long and respectable career and was ranked 19th by wins in 2011 in the Top 100 Rankings (Since 2000). Stud Muffin is well known and respected in the NY racing circuit and he has been happily residing with the "famous" residents at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue since his arrival at our farm in December 2012.

HOTSTUFANTHENSOME

Hotstufanthensome is a Kentucky bred 2000 Bay Gelding (Awesome Again – Don’t Read My Lips, by Turkoman). With 45 starts, 13 firsts, 9 seconds and 3 thirds, this multiple graded stakes winner earned $756,743 in his racing career.  HotStuf won the Cliff Hanger (G3) at the Meadowlands in October of 2005 and the Mac Diarmida Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream in January of 2006. At age six in the Gulfstream, Hotstuf set a new track record. He also won several ungraded stakes races. Having last raced in 2009, it took Hotstuf a few years to find his way to Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue.

CALLMETONY

Callmetony is a 2001 Kentucky bred dark bay gelding born April 26th, 2001 (Runaway Groom – Firey Comet, by Red Ransom). In his eight-year career, Callmetony (or Call me to New York as some people like to call him!) raced 85 times. He built a strong race record of  21-22-17 earning  $666,446. He raced at Golden Gate, Bay Meadows, Emerald Downs, Hastings, Hollywood Park, Monmouth, Belmont, Aqueduct, Saratoga and Philadelphia Park (and Parx, too). Tony was claimed eight times and last raced in 2012.

GREELEY'S LEGACY

Greeley’s Legacy is a Kentucky bred dark bay gelding born April 29th, 2003 (Mr. Greeley – Deceit Princess, by Vice Regent) Greeley made 35 starts and won four, with eight seconds and five thirds, earning more than $250,000. Greeley’s Legacy raced until age 7 in 2010, making his last start at Belmont in the fall.

There was high hopes for Greeley’s Legacy: he raced in the 2006 Gotham, Coolmore Lexington, Wood Memorial, and Preakness, generally finishing in the middle of the pack.  He carved out a nice niche for himself and ran competitively in optional claiming races for several seasons. Eventually Greeley slipped into claiming events and wound up in the barn of Charlton Baker and Akindale happily offered a retirement home for Greeley.
